How to Connect a YouTube Shorts Scheduling Profile
Navigate to Settings > Social Profiles
Click the Connect a Profile button under the Scheduling Profiles section and click on YouTube Shorts as the channel you'd like to connect
Click the Connect YouTube button.
You will be redirected to Google to sign in and authorize to complete the connection.
Note: Due to restrictions on YouTube's end, only the owner of the account can connect the YouTube shorts account to Ordinal
Permissions and Account Requirements
Account Owner: Due to YouTube's restrictions, only the owner of the YouTube channel can connect it.
Permissions Granted: Connecting your account allows the platform to upload videos, view analytics, and manage your channel on your behalf. Make sure to accept all permissions requested when authorizing the connection.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Can I post long-form videos to YouTube?
At the moment, only YouTube Shorts videos are supported through Ordinal. Long-form videos need to be uploaded to Youtube.com directly.
Connection Needs Reconnecting
If your profile's connection expires, a Reconnect button will appear next to it on the Social Profiles page. Simply click it and authorize your account again to get things back in sync.
